Congratulations to the new Miss France! I was not surprised given on how gorgeous she is. It's nice to see Guadeloupe win again after 3 years of waiting, along with Auvergne making that far! Franche-Comte becoming 2nd runner-up again isn't surprising either, but definitely, this was a solid final two and I think at this moment, the pageant just produced their strongest top five!
Will definitely miss Sylvie at this point; she has done a lot. Given that this is her last act in this transition, it is still nice that she played the role well. Not to mention that when she passed her title twenty years ago, the woman who succeeded her was also Miss Guadeloupe (Corinne Coman).
The best things is Midi-Pyrenees finally placing after eleven years of waiting, along with Auvergne placing that high and Franche-Comte doing the same thing. I am not surprised with Herenui not placing, and I think Normandy and Ile-de-France just missed the cut shortly. (It's sad to see Ile-de-France break their placement streak), but Aquitaine placing was a good thing too! Poitou-Charentes placing is also a good thing, given that they have made it in 2020 and 2021, and not to mention Picardy! Languedoc and Roussillon placing is not a surprise, but to see Chiara in the final five would also be fantastic, given that Roussillon has never won the title at all.
I do hope that Alexia and Cindy do give more into this, not just do this ''leave-it-alone'' kind of thing in which they give TF1 everything and that the reigning Miss France feels left alone. This makes me wonder how Diane has been in the last few months - I do hope she competes in Miss Universe 2023 so they can give Indira time. She's still very young, just in her first year of eligibility (probably one of the youngest winners they've ever had, although Peggy Zlotkowski, who briefly fainted upon winning the 1989 edition, is younger than her as far as I know).
