I'm so sad for Nord-Pas-de-Calais, she really deserved it.

I knew Guadeloupe was winning but Nord-Pas-de-Calais was my winner since she was crowned in her region. :%(( :%(( :%((

Guadeloupe deserved her victory but she looks and sounds like a child. Not a huge fan and I don't see her doing well internationally at all. Hopefully she'll prove me wrong... :/

TOP 5 for Miss Universe 2024 :

1. France 2. Mongolia 3. Kazakhstan
4. Venezuela 5. Kyrgyzstan

Two of my big predictions came true:
∙ Guadeloupe wins
∙ NPDC plays the role of an April Benayoum

I also thought Franche-Comté playing the role of a Cécile Wolfrom was possible and I did mention it on the thread awhile back, but I didn't put it in my official prediction.

Full results are released

http://www.simonin-huissier.com/RESULTATS_MF.pdf

Guadeloupe dominated. She won the jury vote and public vote in both the Top 15 and Top 5, it was unanimous. The public also got their exact Top 5 into the actual Top 5.

Côte d'Azur is 5th Runner-Up and Lorraine is 6th Runner-Up.

Public vote tanked Côte d'Azur and Languedoc (really bad score for Languedoc) from Top 5, and juries tanked Pays de la Loire.

Also it looks like the Picardie conspiracy theories had no legs. The public liked her more than the jury did.

As usual the jury doing the most work. They selected a pretty solid Top 5 if ever. Cote D'azur :%((

Good for Guadeloupe, both 1st in votes and jury. Same for NPDC :hx

Very happy with these results!! I think Guadeloupe is a bit teeny for sure, but give her a year or two and she’ll be even more of a bombshell than she currently is. They should send NPDC to Miss World because she won’t win Miss Universe when she’s so similar to Iris. Then Diane to Miss U next year, and Guadeloupe gets more time to really settle into her womanhood.

Auvergne stopping at top 5 was expected, but still very happy for her. She looked so beautiful. Franche-Comte ended up doing well at finals night lol, she was inconsistent but did very well in the end. Martinique continues their run of being liked by the public but disliked by the jury (the next committee really needs to focus on public speaking)

I did expect Cote D’Azur to make it to the end too, but she came very close. Overall, great results!

Yeah, I’m glad that we ended up being right in our appraisal that she was a bit too middle of the road to stand out and get the public votes, but I’m still surprised she ended up dead last. Auvergne doing so well in the public vote is once again a great surprise!

Indira will compete at
A. 72nd Miss Universe will be held in December 2023 but at the expense she will not crown her national successor if 72nd Miss Universe will be held closer to Miss France 2024 finale?
B. 72nd Miss World will be held by 1st Quarter of 2024 (if they will still give the winner of 71st MW the one full year reign like Karolina) unless they will move back to traditional December pageant date?
C. National titleholder status only like Vaimalama Chaves in 2019?

We won't know for a long time, no point in asking now. 99% chance she will not compete at any pageant that conflicts with Miss France 2024 though.

It really depends on the circumstances at this point; although, ultimately, she can choose whatever pageant she wants to go. Unfortunately, just like in the case of Diane, there can be outside factors at play.

Congratulations to the new Miss France! I was not surprised given on how gorgeous she is. It's nice to see Guadeloupe win again after 3 years of waiting, along with Auvergne making that far! Franche-Comte becoming 2nd runner-up again isn't surprising either, but definitely, this was a solid final two and I think at this moment, the pageant just produced their strongest top five!

Will definitely miss Sylvie at this point; she has done a lot. Given that this is her last act in this transition, it is still nice that she played the role well. Not to mention that when she passed her title twenty years ago, the woman who succeeded her was also Miss Guadeloupe (Corinne Coman).

The best things is Midi-Pyrenees finally placing after eleven years of waiting, along with Auvergne placing that high and Franche-Comte doing the same thing. I am not surprised with Herenui not placing, and I think Normandy and Ile-de-France just missed the cut shortly. (It's sad to see Ile-de-France break their placement streak), but Aquitaine placing was a good thing too! Poitou-Charentes placing is also a good thing, given that they have made it in 2020 and 2021, and not to mention Picardy! Languedoc and Roussillon placing is not a surprise, but to see Chiara in the final five would also be fantastic, given that Roussillon has never won the title at all.

I do hope that Alexia and Cindy do give more into this, not just do this ''leave-it-alone'' kind of thing in which they give TF1 everything and that the reigning Miss France feels left alone. This makes me wonder how Diane has been in the last few months - I do hope she competes in Miss Universe 2023 so they can give Indira time. She's still very young, just in her first year of eligibility (probably one of the youngest winners they've ever had, although Peggy Zlotkowski, who briefly fainted upon winning the 1989 edition, is younger than her as far as I know).
No more bashers in 2022, please.

Also, watch Dani Walker's video to know more on how bashers can kill with their words.

Winner is beautiful but Nord-Pas-de-Calais – Agathe Cauet is the one who could won a Miss Universe or MW, she should be winner, if she compete as runner up in this 2 big competition, she may ends as runner up, but if she was winner, she could be winner. I will miss her, she is gorgoeus!

I wonder if the rule "mandatory to crown her successor" will still apply, after all, we don't know.
All in all, I don't there is an actual written rule, it's more tradition.
And this is a huge momentum for our Miss France, one they all want to live, it is bitter sweet but it still is huge.
It's even used as a punishment (ie Valérie Bègue).

Re: ♥ ROAD TO MISS FRANCE 2023 ♥ Guadeloupe is Miss France!!

Well, where to begin? First of all we tried to watch the replay at 3am after the party but drunk way too much champagne, fell asleep and woke up at 7am on the couch.

I guess it's not such an achievement to have predicted the right top 2 since pretty much everybody did, but still I am happy I did!
Congratulations to Indira, she's a stunner and really GLOWED on that stage. I am a bit fearful of her placements in international pageants but if the org is clever, they will send her to MW where Julia has been wanting to crown us for some time but doesn't want runners-up. She would fit perfectly for MW.

I really thought NPDC, the daughter of Iris and Camille, would take it right at the end with her answer like I thought she would, but I think Indira's beauty and charisma were too much to beat. Still a good representative and fantastic 1st runner-up.
Auvergne is the biggest surprise to me and this is why MF is sometimes hard to predict because some girls don't deliver in photos but once the camera is on them, they shine. Auverge has that aura and glow that really surprised me and we love a darkhorse story.
Martinique is a runway DIVA, she demolished the catwalk but the nerves got the best of her.

Top 15 was alright, no really big surprises there. The level of this years cast was pretty average and I think a lot of girls did not advance to top 5 because there were a lot of similarities.
Overall the show was great, I am IN LOVE with those top 15 swimsuits. Classy, the color was perfect, hair slicked back, just enough and not too much. Timeless.
Top 5 gowns were better than most of the recent years. Again, simple yet elegant and classy with flaterring colors. Good riddance Nicolas Fafiotte.

I love how Diane was vulnerable to say she was a lost girl before the pageant and now found her voice and her path. The Miss Universe girls better be thankful to their lucky star because she would have demolished in New Orleans. So sad we won't be seeing her on an international stage. She looked incredible last night.

Cindy Fabre...meh. I will give her the benefit of the doubt but she better deliver because Sylvie is leaving an enormous heritage. Sylvie, we love you, we wish you well.

And I am so happy to see Jean-Pierre host again next year. An icon from my city and to all French people.

Cindy Fabre was so underwhelming, she better step up her game now that Sylvie definitely is out. I nearly felt bad for her when she was announced on stage and she had polite applause while Sylvie rocked the whole arena during her good bye speech. I feel for them both (as long as Cindy stops throwing shades), Cindy has TREMENDOUSLY HUGE shoes to fill in, Sylvie must be so sad. Especially during the crowning moment, Sylvie has always been the one giving the sash. I understand Cindy had to do it, but sad nonetheless.
Super LOVED when Maeva addressed a personal message to Sylvie before asking her top 5 question.

They better take care of Indira ALL YEAR LONG and not just during media week to get attention.

I'm watching the replay of the documentary about Diane's year and the girls journey to the crown. They show ALJ and Cindy as if they were there all the time. pfff X( X(

I'll have a hard time accepting she's gone :'(

So excited to see the results of her first photoshoots and her Gala magazine cover!!! Crazy how quickly the year starts for Miss France, the show ended so late last night and she was already in Paris this morning doing photoshoots.
